California Public Records Act (CPRA) was signed in 1968 and allows for governmental records to be disclosed to the public, upon request, unless there is a specific reason not to do so.  Our office complies with the CPRA and determines within 10 days to comply with the request or inform the requester of the decision and the reasons why it cannot comply with the request.
